Centennial, Colorado, July 15, 2009 – webLiP.com today announced the construction of an opinion network described as the “Facebook for Opinions” by an early reviewer. Completion of the webLiP.com site is scheduled for the fall of 2009. The site is currently available in its beta version.
webLiP.com takes a conventional social network and puts a twist on it by building a supporter based network for opinions, ideas and solutions submitted by its users. The author of an opinion or idea can quickly assess its popularity by the number of supporters attracted.
Supporters rallying around opinions, ideas or solutions can form private, semi-private or public groups to further discuss, organize and promote the topics at hand.
Opinions, ideas and solutions can be published in blogs, photographs and videos. Additional application tools available to users and groups are online surveys, discussion forums, an event calendar, contact importers and RSS feeds.
The preliminary categories of politics, business, boycotts, blacklists, health care, entertainment, celebrities, sports and television news can be expanded by the interest groups to fit their topic.
