Immigration into the United States is an earned privilege. Are founding fathers came to America and worked hard to make this country into a land where we could be free and speak our minds. The only request was that we pay taxes and be loyal to our country. This is certainly not the case today.

Immigration today is not seen as a privilege, it has been construed into another person’s right. An alien from another country, has no legal rights to become a citizen just because they want to. There has always been a process involved in immigration, and it should be upheld. If we as American citizens choose to leave our country and apply for citizenship to another, we are expected to go through a legal process, and can actually be denied legal status in another country. Where did the United States, lose the right to deny a person a legal status? Where did we as American citizens lose the right to communicate in our native English? To get a job today, the ability to speak Spanish is usually a requirement.

Immigration needs to be put on hold, until the United States can get a foot hold on this bad economy. We cannot afford to support immigrants with our welfare system anymore. Part of the immigration process, is to become a working, productive citizen, it says nothing about immigrating to get all the free benefits that go with being an American. The working class of America, cannot afford to support any more immigrants. We couldn’t afford it before, but we were forced into it, if we valued our own freedom.

Our school systems are overloaded with students that do not speak our native language. Our students education is going down the toilet. How can our kids advance in their learning if a teacher is stuck spending time with a student who cannot understand English? We are trying to force our teachers to teach more children, and pay them less because our taxes are paying for the various other problems the mass immigration is costing us.

We simply cannot keep allowing the massive numbers of immigrants into the country. More than 1 million people were officially immigrated in 2008. That doesn't even include the number of illegal immigrants in the country. It is time to get our borders heavily guarded, and get control of this mess.

Climate Change

So many people believe that climate change is a settled fact when in reality it, as well as so many other scientific theories, is far from settled. There are still many, many different theories that could account for the changes that we see in climate that trying to affect change in this area could be foolish and dangerous.
Newsweek in the early 1970’s wrote an article about global climate change. That’s right, forty years ago they knew about climate change, except that they didn’t call it climate change. They didn’t even call it global warming. They called it global cooling. In the 1970’s Newsweek was so convinced that the human kind was negatively affecting the climate that they advocated pouring soot on the arctic ice pack to absorb heat from the sun and warm the Earth. Now, fast forward to the early 2000’s and everyone is convinced of the opposite. I wonder what is in store for the 2050’s? Will our actions to stop climate change now sound as ridiculous and as potential harmful as dropping soot onto the icecaps?

Ever heard of the Maunder Minimum? Few people have. The Maunder Minimum is a era that coincides with the early Medieval Age. This was also a time of global cooling, or a mini-ice age. The Maunder Minimum is called this because of the fact that so few sunspots and sun flares were seen during this time. Sunspots and sun flares have and effect on the heat that is transferred from the Sun to the Earth. The 20th Century had over ten times the number of sun flares and sunspots as the Maunder Minimum. Sure, some of this could be due to advances in telescopes and science, but many scientists believe we are due for another minimum.

It used to be called global warming, now it’s global climate change. The reason for the change; now everything can be blamed on human activity. It’s hotter this year than last; global climate change is the culprit. Sea water is higher; global climate change. Birds are dying, insects species are going extinct, the desert is hotter; it’s all global climate change and it’s all our fault. Disregard the fact that one large volcanic eruption can have devastating on global temperatures, or that there are more forests in North America now than one hundred years ago. And how do global warming proponents account for warming and cooling trends of the past, The Ice Age, the mini-ice age, etc, as humankind had not undergone the Industrial Revolution and were not burning fossil fuels. It must have been naturally occurring. Can we be sure that what we are living through now isn’t naturally occurring?

It would be foolish on a number of levels to try and change the global climate, especially sense there are still so many questions that must be answered about it.

Israel Policy (in support)

Israel was founded by the Jewish people who suffered expulsion from most countries in which they settled. During the Second World War they were targeted for annihilation by Adolf Hitler and six million Jews perished. The United Nations granted them a piece of land called Palestine, to be divided among the Jews and Palestinians. The Palestinians objected to this division of Palestine, which they claimed entirely as their own. The result of this objection was a combined attack by all the Arab nations in the area and by the Palestinians living in their midst. What could they do? The Israelis fought back suffering heavy casualties.

Several times after this 1948 War for Independence the Israelis were attacked by their Arab neighbors. These neighbors promised to drive the Jews into the sea. When they were not being attacked they were harassed from within by Palestinian terrorists. The Israelis have no choice but to be suspicious of her Arab neighbors and the Arabs within Israel proper and the Territories. The United States policy towards Israel takes all this into consideration and naturally supports her right to exist. The Israelis always support the United States and we are reciprocating by giving Israel aid and weapons and vowing to come to her aid if attacked.

The policy of the United States would be hypocritical if we supported undemocratic forces against democratic Israel in this long simmering feud. Our policy should be to supply Israel with all the weapons and economic aid it requires. It is in our interest to support friends rather than people and nations that hate us, namely the Arab nations and the Palestinian people.

There is no nation for the Jewish people to go to, and live in comfortably if the experiment of Israel fails. America should make sure that a situation never arises where the Arab threat to drive the Jews into the sea comes about. The only true ally of Israel is the United States. No other nation can be trusted to help the Jews as evidenced by the Entebbe incident of the 1970's. America should be proud of its pro-Israel policy.
